WebSite Design unveils an attractive and improved website for the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. The BCC-IWLA is a diverse group of men and women dedicated to protecting our soil, air, woods, waters and wildlife. The BCC-IWLA uses a grassroots approach to solving local, regional and national conservation issues. Members share interests spanning from camping, angling and birding to stream monitoring, wildlife photography and hunting. The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chapter manages a 623-acre conservation farm which serves as a living classroom and outdoor recreational facility for its more than 1000 members. WSD's goal with this site was to simplify the navigation and make the site overall more functional by providing users with a complete reference of information on the chapter, its history and current activities and events. This was accomplished by setting up the home page to offer a visually impressive layout with a "News at a Glance" function, a calendar of events link and a prompt to join the club with an easily accessible sign-up form and contact information. WSD also implemented dynamic menu navigation which makes the large amount of information on the site easy to manage. The News at a Glance function presents the latest updates on the BCC-IWLA Chapter, organization and conservation news, the chapter's latest newsletter and press releases. The calendar of events is user-friendly and color coded, breaking down events into different categories such as Farm and Forestry Events, Scout Meetings, Wildlife Events or Conservation and Education events. The navigation bar at the top clearly lays out useful information about the chapter, tells users how and when they can volunteer and join in other chapter activities, it gives information about membership options as well as a comprehensive guide to the chapter's extensive facilities and grounds. This site is a splendid display of WSD's straightforward design that keeps the user in mind. Visitors to BCCIWLA.org will find all the information they need at their fingertips.
