Vaught & Boutris LLP is a boutique law firm with offices in Oakland and Walnut Creek. The firm provides services throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Vaught & Boutris LLP specializes in trusts, estates, bankruptcy, tax, and business law. WebSight Design (WSD) launched a new website for Vaught & Boutris LLP in November 2017.
Vaught & Boutris approached WSD because the firm wanted to modernize their old site and develop a site that was easier to manage via a user-friendly CMS, and have a site that was fully responsive and mobile optimized.
The new website design conveys optimism, depicting lighter and warmer images than the previous site. WSD introduced photos of the attorneys themselves to make the firm come across as more accessible while remaining professional.
One area which required additional effort and planning was the Practice Areas section. The firm had a lot to convey and present, but the partners didn't want to be too wordy and overwhelming. WSD worked to devise an "accordion" style functionality that allowed them to list many topics. The content opens and closes gently on click rather than keeping all the text visible all the time.
