WSD alum Dawoud Nasraty recently started his own business - Ascent Financial Consulting. We wanted to give him a shout out and wish him the best of luck as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.
We originally met Dawoud in 2003 when he brought his Berkeley-based family business Caravan Crossing to WSD for an e-commerce web site. We kept in touch with him over the years as his career took him from California to Kabul, where he was the financial controller at Roshan, the leading telecommunications company in Afghanistan.
In 2011, after he received his Master of Science degree in Financial Analysis from the University of San Francisco, Dawoud became WSD’s CFO. For three years he was full time in house. During his tenure, he provided WSD with an incredibly solid financial foundation which we enjoy to this day. In 2014 he moved to The Brenner Group, bringing us along as a client, which was acquired a few years later by Armanino.
A few months ago Dawoud decided to strike out on his own and now runs Ascent Financial Consulting located at 180 San Carlos Ave in San Carlos, CA.
