Through its flagship ExecSelect™ plan, Sankaty Light helps businesses reimburse key employees for out-of-pocket medical expenses, delivering enhanced wellness support and recruitment advantage in today’s competitive business environment.

In early 2025, Sankaty Light Benefits partnered with WebSight Design (WSD) to redesign its digital presence through a modern, streamlined, and highly user-friendly website that better reflects the company’s evolving brand identity and strategic direction. 

The Challenge: Realigning Digital Presence with Strategic Growth

Sankaty Light Benefits had collaborated with WSD earlier in 2020 for its initial website. Over time, however, the company’s digital presence drifted from its core messaging and brand clarity as updates from third-party developers introduced new URLs, inconsistent navigation, and content that did not fully support Sankaty Light’s strategic priorities. 

When Sankaty Light returned to WSD, the goal was clear: reset the website to align with the company’s refreshed brand identity and ensure a consistent, intuitive user experience. In a field as complex and highly regulated as healthcare benefits, simplicity and clarity are critical. This is not just aesthetics but purposeful design that communicates the value of Sankaty Light’s offerings to brokers, employers, and decision-makers. 

Strategy: Collaborative Design and Content Alignment

WSD’s approach centered on a deep collaboration with Sankaty Light’s internal marketing expert to connect brand visuals, content hierarchy, and user goals into a cohesive digital experience. The new design honors Sankaty Light’s refreshed identity, one that is approachable, contemporary, and visually engaging. This is extended into every corner of the site.

Key elements of the redesign included:

• Bold Visual Identity: The new site uses vibrant color, dynamic visuals, and integrated video elements to draw users in and communicate Sankaty Light’s energy and mission. 

• Simplified Navigation: Clear menus and intuitive pathways guide visitors to key sections, without overwhelming them with choices. 

• Responsive and Accessible Layout: Ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience across devices was foundational, with performance-optimized load times and mobile-friendly design. 

Throughout the project, WSD made sure the layout complemented the client-provided content, enhancing readability and engagement while showcasing the strategic value of Sankaty Light’s benefits solutions. 

Execution: Experience-Focused Functionality

Beyond visuals, the redesign focused heavily on performance and usability. Pages were optimized for faster loading speeds, and content was structured so visitors could quickly find the information most relevant to them, including clear calls-to-action for brokers and employers exploring the ExecSelect™ plan. 

Other functional improvements included:

• A refreshed news section to keep content current and show Sankaty Light as a thought leader in supplemental benefits.

• New case study integration to demonstrate real-world applications of the ExecSelect™ plan, helping prospects see how the offering supports different business needs. 

These enhancements together create a smoother journey that speaks directly to user needs and expectations.
